Mr. Jagdish Nijhawan, in collaboration with his brother-in-law, Mr. Rajiv Krishan Puri, Chairman, Parcon ( India ) Private Limited initiated and started the Trust along with other Trustees. Mr. Jagdish Nijhawan, is the Settlor, who donated an amount of Rs. 11,000.00, and, the Deed of Trust was then duly registered with the Additional Registrar of Assurance-III, Kolkata, West Bengal on 21st April, 2011.
The initial persons chosen as Trustees were known people who had been associated, in one way or the other, with the Late Mrs. Rajni Nijhawan ,and, who were fully aware of her wishes for the welfare of the poor and had a strong conviction to fulfil her wishes. The Trust has been Registered and has been authorised to issue certificates under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act.
