Amalgam Steel is a joint venture between Atha & Misra Group. A special purpose vehicle was incorporated to acquire Adhunik Alloys & Power limited & Orrisa Manganese & minerals limited through NCLAT.
Amalgam Steel, located at Kandra in the state of Jharkhand, has an integrated steel plant based on Sponge Iron Technology. Driven by the growing demand for steel products for power & telecommunication, construction and heavy industry sectors in the country, the company has a multistage expansion plan both upstream and downstream. It has also secured its raw material resources.
The Company has an Iron ore Pellet Manufacturing company located on the same premises with state-of-the-art technology. The Pellet Plant is backed with Beneficiation Plant to utilize the low grade iron ore fines and convert them into a value-added product. It produces both blast furnace and DRI grade pellets.
