Canara Bank Institute of Information (C.B.I.I.T.) is a part of Corporate Social Reponsibilty(CSR) initiative of Canara Bank,under the aegis of "Canara Bank Centenary Rural Development Trust". The main objective of setting up this elite Institute was to provide access of computer education free of cost to unemployed youth between the age group of 18-30 years from the economically and socially weaker section of the society. The Bank started CBIIT at Bengaluru in the year 1999 and at present the Bank is running Five CBIITs in 4 States Viz.Karnataka, Kerala, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal.
